October 2, street festival

Sunny Sunday in Barcelona! 75 and beautiful. Thank you for your comments. Most of you will be anonymous on comment section due to needing a google account.  So, if you can include your name, then I will know who is sending me good wishes!  Also, I quickly realized that once I start the walk, I will most likely be too tired to respond individually.  So, know that I thank you from the bottom of my heart 💖 for your support.

We went to the gym, then biked (not electric, way better for me) to the city center and walked down La Rambla. But, everything is closed on Sundays in Spain, so no worries spending $$.

Plaza Catalanya

We then went to a street fair, not unlike most street fairs, but with a Spanish twist!  A Ferris wheel operated by hand.

Fun rides for kiddos.

A medieval stage and theatre.  Julian, Scarlett and Bennett would love the dragon and riding the horses!

Mr Pig having seen better days.

We met Eileen’s friend, Amin, from Marrakesh.
He gave us some great tips for our trip to Morocco 🇲🇦 in November.  We had fabulous mint tea at a Moroccan
Stand at the street fair!  Notice the star on the table, part of the Moroccan flag.  And here’s an interesting fact he shared: Morocco was the 1st country to recognize the U.S.A. when we declared independence from England.

And music!  I am sure all my musician friends would enjoy the spontaneous jestering musicians.  The accordion player is my fave, as she reminded me of my dear mom, Helen, who died a year ago. Mom is a big part of my inspiration for this pilgrimage, as she was a woman of deep faith and a beautiful soul!

              KEEP MUSIC & LAUGHTER ALIVE!
(one of Helen’s 10 suggestions for living)

Here are the rest, a tribute given to Eileen & made by her dear friend Andrea!

Signing off!     Jeez Louise!
