November 29, HOMECOMING
Thanksgiving week!
And what a week it has been! I left Spokane on September 26, and returned on November 24! And a wonderful trip it was. But coming home, Homecoming was fabulous. Because really, there is no place like home!

Words for the day: fog & anticipation!
Fog is the cloud covering that makes it difficult for us to have good visibility.
Fog can be a state of mind!
fSometimes we just don’t see clearly, and are in a fog regarding our decision making.
Foggy over the airport!
On a clear day, you can see forever! Mt Baker & Mt. Adams. Such incredible majesty!
Mount Rainer in all her glory!
Nearing the mighty Columbia gorge!

Anticipation: waiting with excitement,
So today, I finally was coming home to Spokane
But God continues to have surprises for me!
I have been anticipating seeing Dave, the grandkids, our son and daughter in law, and friends. But the fog got in the way. We have been circling the Spokane airport, but it’s socked in so we have been unable to land!
Clear skies, but fog in the distance around the
Airport!
So guess what that means? A possible free trip back to Seattle! And maybe flying out tomorrow. What craziness! We have been on the outskirts of Spokane, with blue skies and visibility for miles. But each time we near the airport, the pesky fog is too thick to allow a landing.
A metaphor on our lives? We can get so close to a goal, a dream, and then somehow lose our focus, our visibility. And there are times when I feel I am going round and round in circles and getting nowhere fast!
Is this circle below a metaphor, or unity? Both?
But the most interesting part of this whole thing, is the ability to be flexible to our Creator’s plan!
Finally at 3pm, we were able to land. We made it to Liz and Sean’s did of our dry in law) just in time for dinner. Braden cooked a fabulous thanksgiving feast. And the grands and their cousins had a grand time!

Friday was spent babysitting Bennett and Scarlett while Braden took Julian to the doctor for a rash. He also had the flu. Nice to be back in the routine of my everyday living!
Saturday, we prepared our Spokane home for Christmas 🎄 Our reading group is meeting for our Christmas 🎅🏼 party on the 30, and I am hosting! So it was fun to prepare the house early! Advent, a time of preparation for the coming of Jesus!
And it’s been fun watching football 🏈. No, not American football 🏈 but WORLD 🌍 football, soccer ⚽️. Eileen and I were both thrilled that Morocco 🇲🇦 and Ghana 🇬🇭 have done well. Especially after just visiting 🇲🇦. Eileen has also been to Ghana 🇬🇭 a couple of times!
And Sunday, we came to the lake house 🏠 This place is becoming home. And that’s a good feeling. It’s such a beautiful spot! A great place to celebrate nature, meditate 🧘♂️, contemplate, and just BE! It’s great to be home!
Jeez Louise!
